WHAT IS A SHAMAN? For us, true shamanic work is spirit based medicine. For some shamans it can be literal ancestral spirits, for others it could be spirits of plants and nature like the vine Mother Ayahuasca, which is a fine example. But for us, it's a large ancestral group of spirit, that work with Hinorayam(Brad) and Caroline. These spirits support the shaman and their clients to a new self-awareness. They can move things within you, can move spirit energies that are with you, that might be blocking, causing sickness, sadness, loss, too-much or too little, depression, over-work, under-worked etc. But first and foremost, the client must understand what is going on, and why they keep creating THAT! So, this work is for self-knowledge, healing and transformation. It is not for entertainment.
The path of a shaman is a life commitment, it is not something you'd like to play with. It makes for a difficult life, but that creates and moulds the shaman into someone that can help, support and bolster many lives. This is a VERY supportive work. Said another way, the shaman is owned by the spirit group and lineage, but the shaman at the same time is consciously on control of that group. All this comes to support even the most difficult healings, movements and releases.

TRAINING: We are intensely trained by a lineage of healers. In Australia, this is rare. Brad has been apprenticed and accountable to one teacher since 2013. This forces development and growth differently, being accountable to the lineage, which in this case is predominantly women.
WHERE: Brad(Hinorayam) is shaman living in both Cairns/Sydney and near Canberra. With Caroline, they have lived in Cairns and the Atherton Tablelands since 2012, and more recently, part-time in the pristine Snowy Mountains bush. Their shamanic tradition is both documented and recorded orally. It also includes stories from our shamanic line.
CAIRNS: Much of our work is private, but we do offer events at many venues in Cairns, including Stratford Hall and Cominos House, as well as events on the wider Atherton Tablelands. Since 2014 we have done much work mainly with people from Eastern Australia by Messenger, Whatsapp and Zoom.

Shamanic healing and transformation addresses the essential but subtle aspects of your humanity and spirit. If we can agree for a moment that you are a spirit having a human experience, and life has come to a bit of a mess or painful for you right now, maybe the source of your problems are not here. Maybe the source of the problems are with spirit? That's where we go, to draw and resolve the things that allow the normal flow of life to happen and to be enhanced.
We offer clients facilitated shamanic journeys, supported by drum and chanting. We do not offer drumming circles, guided meditations, reiki, chakra work, massage etc. We run with spirit. We do the work of shaman, we are healers.

Together, Brad and Caroline have run the Cairns Shamanic Medicine Circle monthly since 2015. We are not so much about courses, and ticking the lists, rather we prefer to offer a premium experience of the self and develop that into what is meaning and nourishing for you. A part of this are some basic courses that bring about this most accurate self-conceptualisation of who you are and maybe your gifts, if that's of interest. This includes our totem course (Hethna).
Our clients generally get what they want if they keep their intention firm. Being a work of spirit, it might take less than a moment or up to a year. So it's work that takes maturity.
