Key points:
-
All of our work is energetic, few can see it
-
It needs an allowance or faith for the space to open, to work and flow
-
We find the word energies is more appropriate than saying ‘going into spirit’, as energies can be created, we see it as living, it can be increased or decreased, spread out or concentrated
-
Spirit does not quite have the same ready possibility as energy, it is more of a constant, forever actually. We aren’t diminishing it’s ever-present part in our work, but energy gets things done, and it has this quality of flow, movement and accessibility. It is a fundamental thing flowing through all creation at the finest level
-
So when we say we go into the spirit world, we mean we are going into the energetic world
If we conceptualise energy in this moment as mains-power electricity: if you turn the switch off the energy flow stops and the light goes out. If the switch is jammed, ceased, broken, worn-out or whatever, the light cannot shine because the energy can’t flow.
The human aura is one example of energy flow in the human experience. It really does have a life of its own because it’s filled with all this information, from things like ancestral energies, societal energies of the now, akashic energies from other times, expectations past and present. All these things pulsate when the human is working hard, processing in a healing journey. This processing energy causes the aura to pulsate and express itself in different ways, as it looks for expression, solutions, remedies, and resolution/peace.
So in a shamanic journey, there is an experience that as a physical being, you leave that physicality somewhat, leave here and move into this pulsating energy of your greater being, aura included.
So we all have these pulsating energies, the tables and chairs around us do, and all are mingled if you like in the same energetic pot, each distinctly different, but in the same creationary pot. When you are journeying, it frees up the physical, the journey moves the person from the physical into the wider energetic realm.
Journeywork with a sound intention allows you to move into the space that you’ve created, with the drumming, singing, chanting or whatever. This is an energetic space that the person has created, it’s not necessarily the cosmic space, but the person’s reality, which is their creation.
For people new to journey work, some, when they move into the journey realms, their energetic creations, they find nothing, experience nothing, sense nothing. It’s like there is no information there. Energetically their energy space has nothing going on, seemingly anyway. Some might have things like somebody movements, flashing of lights, single words appearing and so on. We see that their energies have been closed down, even locked down in some scenarios, by the self, ancestors or those around them including family and community (society). There is plenty there to access, very meaningful things, given the right support.
Now back to the mains-power electricity example: If the human is the electric light switch, and it is jammed, broken, worn-out, full of peanut butter or whatever, sometimes we need to decrease the energetics to relax the switch to it can reset itself because innately it knows how to do that. It might just need a simple clean. Other times we might need to bypass the switch to clear complex entangled energies that don’t belong in this circuit. It might need a careful concentration of the energy, to melt that old switch right out of the wall in a powerful healing movement that allows for a completely new switch and energy for the person, a life they now choose, but for them, only an intense movement will do, with sparks and a flash here and there. Some need it really quiet, slow and gentle. When resolved, things can pulsate in the true way of the person.
So in a journey, you move into that energetic space, the information you want is in there because you have created that space. Most humans find it hard to access this space and information, so that is why we support and facilitate this most fantastic process – the shamanic journey. Creating new possibilities for people, new life for some, even supporting new babies to come and create with us at the coal-face of creation we call humanity.
A typical journey plan.
