Spirit Guide Experiences

Posted on August 19, 2022August 19, 2022

A few years ago I encountered an individual who had been given a spirit guide by someone who was still early days into their healing career.
After a few hours of work, we discovered there was this spirit guide attached, who was clearly less intelligent than the individual and it was confusing good life decisions. This was soon fixed and the guide was relieved of his overwhelming burden.
So be careful what you let in, be discerning!

Many, many moons ago, my first spirit animal experience presented itself as fight-to-the-death. I had no idea I was meeting a guide and I was not looking! I was journeying or working on fear within myself.
The forest was dark, and this formidable beast was hunting me in this darkness. After a while, I came up on top of some old jagged logs; it engaged me in a fight. It was such a real experience. Pain, fear, adrenalin, massive body twitching, and a berserker rage came upon me. I confronted this oversized wolf, and it was man against dog, which is a horrible thing to see, let alone experience. To survive, I had to sacrifice my right arm to kill this beast of a thing. I gave it my hand, and it shook it hard. It tried to pull me to the ground. Adjusting its bite, I rammed my hand deep into its throat, choking badly, thrusting more deeply each time it backed off. I was committed to finishing this beast.
With this, the wolf stood back and morphed into a wild dog. It sat beside me. My fear reduced.
We were matched. This spirit animal was no kumbaya experience; it needed to know we were matched.
We like to hunt.
So is your current guide well matched, or are you carrying a guide like Mr Bean? Is your Arnie guide too trigger-happy?
In our tradition, spirit guides are way more than this, but this is a great place to start! Reach out and let us know if you’d like to explore this spirit animal domain. It is more than you can conceive of, we promise!
Warm regards,
Brad (Hinorayam)
